Florentino knows the price of Courtois's successor: €50M now or free in 2026
The move that Florentino Pérez could make to have another reliable goalkeeper at Real Madrid
In recent days, PSG's stability has been shaken by Gianluigi Donnarumma. The Italian goalkeeper, key in winning the Champions League, has decided to leave the club. In response, PSG has set an exit price of 50 million euros, which, as we know at Defensa Central,Real Madrid isn't looking to pay.
Although Donnarumma is one of the best goalkeepers in the world today, his exit price is extremely excessive. Real Madrid, if PSG doesn't lower the goalkeeper's price, is considering the option of waiting until Donnarumma's contract ends. This plan could be affected by the interest of other clubs like Manchester City.

With Ederson getting closer to signing for Galatasaray, City has seen Donnarumma as the ideal replacement. The presence of the English club could leave Real Madrid with no options to sign the Italian. However, just like the Merengue team, City doesn't consider it appropriate to pay 50 million.
Donnarumma's value
At 26 years old, Gianluigi Donnarumma has spent several seasons established as a reliable goalkeeper. Trained in the youth academies of Castellammare and AC Milan, Donnarumma made the jump to the Italian first team in 2015. For 6 seasons, Donnarumma defended the Italian goal until his move to PSG in 2021.
Playing a total of 161 matches with the Parisian team, Donnarumma took a step up in quality last season. In 47 matches, Donnarumma conceded only 43 goals and achieved 17 clean sheets. Fundamental in PSG's treble win, the signing of Lucas Chevalier has opened the exit door for him.
In addition, his absence in the UEFA Super Cup made it clear that his desire to leave is a reality. Although Real Madrid has shown slight interest in his transfer, his price has quickly ruled out the signing. While Courtois is already 33 years old, Real Madrid has Lunin, who has shown his worth in the past.
Donnarumma's destination
Unless PSG lowers its demands, Real Madrid won't make any offer for Donnarumma. Even so, this doesn't leave the Italian without options, as besides City, he has also attracted the attention of Chelsea and Manchester United.
