Florentino Rejects a Chelsea Star, Real Madrid Has Made a Final Decision
Florentino Pérez's decision on Real Madrid's next big signing
Several players have managed to be on Real Madrid's radar as potential future signings. While some have achieved the dream of wearing white, others have fallen by the wayside due to a series of problems. This has been the case with a player who, just a few years ago, was Florentino Pérez's main target.
Reece James was, at one point, the desire of Real Madrid's president to strengthen the right-back position. Considered one of the great talents of English soccer, the player's level declined considerably. Plagued by constant injuries, the player ended up falling off the list of priorities for the Merengue team.

Despite having recently offered himself to Real Madrid, Florentino Pérez has already made his decision. Instead of James, the club has opted to sign Trent Alexander-Arnold, who is their number one priority for the next market.
Florentino Pérez's Rejection
At 25 years old, Reece James is just a shadow of what he could have become. Despite his great performances at Chelsea, injuries have been a terrible constant for him. For almost two and a half years, the player has known no other scenario than being away from the field.
This presented itself as a problem that Real Madrid simply doesn't want to deal with in a future signing. Suffering from injuries for several seasons, the club is not interested in a player prone to missing the entire campaign.

That's why, looking to improve their squad for the next season, Real Madrid has opted to sign Alexander-Arnold. Standing out for his speed, ability to contribute to the attack, and the few injuries he has had, Florentino has already made his decision.
James's Misfortune
From having the potential to be the best right-back in the world to being forgotten by everyone, James's situation is depressing. Real Madrid's rejection has only been the latest nail in a coffin that the player, to date, refuses to enter.
