Florentino told Xabi, Ancelotti was left in a bad light in their first meeting.
The conversation between the two left the Italian in a bad light, all because of a player
Real Madrid is starting to draw conclusions after its match against Al Hilal. The lack of a playmaker is something that's been discussed in many talk shows in recent days. It seems that Florentino and Xabi Alonso have already talked about it and the possibilities they have.
In fact, Xabi Alonso was one of the people who made requests to the club, pointing directly to Zubimendi. But Florentino told him he wasn't willing, thinking about Mastantuono. Also because he had another name in mind, as Carlos Carpio has revealed.

It was during a conversation on Rubén Martín's channel where he talked about Arda Güler. Xabi Alonso is told that "Güler is another option to play deeper" so he can organize the play. "In Madrid, they think Güler was underused last season," he pointed out.
The young Turk "with the shortage of footballers who could move the ball, Ancelotti should've tried Güler." That's what people inside the club think, according to Carpio. "If you have a kid who, because of his characteristics, you can redirect to that role, try him," he concluded.
Xabi Alonso does bet on Güler and not like Ancelotti
Ancelotti never really saw Arda Güler at the base of the play, until the final stretch of La Liga. He barely gave him minutes, and when he did, it wasn't with three forwards ahead so he could forget about those duties. It seems Xabi Alonso's idea at the start is going to be very different.

The Basque brought Arda on in the second half, but he didn't substitute Vinicius, Gonzalo, or Rodrygo. The idea is for him to settle in the center of the field, to drop back to receive the ball and move it forward. In fact, with that change, that's when the team started to work.
For now, with the full squad not yet available, it seems Güler will fulfill that role. Alongside Huijsen, they'll be in charge of organizing the play from the back. They can have Trent's help when he's more settled into the team's dynamics.
