Florentino wants to leave Real Madrid on a high note: he will say goodbye in a big way
The plans of the president of the white squad are starting to make sense when looking at the long term
Real Madrid's activity in recent transfer windows is aimed at building a new sports project practically from scratch. While it's true that in previous seasons there were veteran footballers such as Toni Kroos, Lucas Vázquez, and Luka Modric, the intention is to replace them as soon as possible.
For that, a great number of signings are needed, which are impossible to achieve during a single summer window. Real Madrid's long-term planning in this regard is about to conclude this summer, with four additions that solve the team's last positional doubts.

The signings of Dean Huijsen and Trent Alexander-Arnold are a clear example of that trend. The signing of Franco Mastantuono, who will join the first team in August, is also part of this... and the addition of Álvaro Carreras that Benfica would have placed, postponing negotiations, for after the Club World Cup.
Xabi Alonso will receive these four signings at the beginning of the 25/26 season to keep the path of victory that's demanded in every match at Real Madrid. It's no coincidence that the coach from Tolosa is also part of that long-term planning: his selection as a young coach with new ideas, adapted to modern soccer, is not a coincidence.
The legacy of the best
Attention to detail in the Valdebebas offices is not only focused on the players who arrive in Santiago Bernabéu locker room. It's also on the footballers who are already part of the Merengue sports discipline: contract renewals are an excellent tool to shape the brilliant future that awaits the Spanish capital club.
This way, players such as Mastantuono, Asencio, and Trent Alexander-Arnold would be at Real Madrid until mid-2031. Huijsen, Lunin, and Endrick, successors to several veteran players in the first team, will do the same until the summer of 2030. Other essential parts of the squad, subject to future short-term extensions, until 2029: Mbappé, Bellingham, Güler, Camavinga, and Valverde are the most recognizable in that group.

Long-term planning carried out by Real Madrid's board of directors makes it possible to ensure a competitive first team with a winning gene for the next fifteen years (15 years). It's also reflected in other areas such as the renovation of the Santiago Bernabéu stadium, adding subsequent modifications to accommodate it for multiple activities, or the expansion of the club's brand.
The end of Florentino Pérez's presidency could be much closer than some believe. In view of that generational change, the president of the Madrid club will leave a footballing and tangible legacy that serves as an example and engraves his name in Real Madrid's history.
