Florentino Willing to Pay the Clause for Him to Play with Asencio and Not with Cubarsí

Real Madrid knows it needs to move quickly to solve this potential signing

One of the main focuses of Real Madrid's board of directors for this summer's transfer market is on the core of the white defense. The injury absences recorded so far this season, with up to four center-backs in Valdebebas's infirmary, have made Carlo Ancelotti experience a continuous  "even more difficult".

The tight situation the Italian strategist has on his hands has led him to rely on Aurélien Tchouaméni. The French stopper plays, reluctantly and out of position, in a role that has earned him all the criticism received this soccer season. But it seems that he has readjusted to that circumstance, as his performance at Etihad Stadium is far from the catastrophe many predicted long ago.

His partner in the center-back position, given the injuries to Éder Militão, David Alaba, and Antonio Rüdiger, is Raúl Asencio. The Canarian '35' has established himself as a  key starter due to his great performances in the European soccer elite, a leap he has made from Real Madrid Castilla. This change in dynamics, in record time, clearly shows that he hasn't needed an adaptation period to fully integrate into Santiago Bernabéu stadium's locker room.

Despite the good impressions left by the player trained at La Fábrica, the executives led by Florentino Pérez remain on the lookout for an opportunity to sign center-backs. The main candidates for that position, such as William Saliba or Castello Lukeba, would require a significant financial effort from the white club... which is why their signings have been subjected to intense debate in the Valdebebas offices.

Transfer in Process?

But recently, an option as interesting as these two French center-backs has also emerged from the Premier League. Moreover, it is about a Spanish player with a release clause. The possibility of incorporating national talent to regain lost ground in the Spanish national team at a fixed price is a market opportunity that can't be missed.

At least not without having studied it closely. The growing interest of the European soccer elite in securing the services of Dean Huijsen means competition from clubs like FC Barcelona, PSG, Bayern Munich, or Chelsea. Everything indicates that Huijsen won't hesitate long without a new team due to a release clause set at 50 million pounds.

While it is true that AFC Bournemouth wants to increase that exit barrier, Real Madrid could make his signing effective for next summer to avoid such an increase. The reality is that Dean Huijsen fits perfectly into all the requirements established by the new signing policy that Real Madrid has maintained for several seasons.

Again, the economic issue is the major impediment to a quick action by the Madrid sports management in this hypothetical saga surrounding the Spanish defender of Dutch origin. The pace of the competition could definitively dictate Real Madrid's moves, especially in the short term, in the possible signing of Dean Huijsen for the white defense.
