Former Brazilian Player Who Disowns Vini, Sends Him to the 'Bench': 'In Brazil...'
TheBrazilian says that Vinícius Jr. hasn't yet taken the reins of the Brazilian national team
More trouble in the Brazilian team. In the last hours, Vagner Love, former player of the Brazilian team, has had some words toward Vini Jr., current leader of the team led by Dorival Jr.
Vagner Love was one of the leading forwards in Brazilian soccer at the turn of the century, where he was a Copa América champion with Brazil in 2004 and 2007. In an interview with Charla Podcast, the forward gave his opinion on the current moment of the five-time world champion team.
Vagner Love's words about Brazil
For him, Dorival Júnior should follow Argentina's example and build a team to play around Neymar. The forward believes that the Al-Hilal player is still the most decisive player of the Brazilian national team, leaving aside Vinícius Jr.
"Argentina has put together a team that runs for Messi. Brazil has to put together a team to play for Neymar, there isn't that. We have some quality guys, but the one who will solve it today is Neymar," began Vagner Love.
"We had Ronaldo, who was a phenomenon, but there were always kids who helped, who put up with the reprimands. About five, six guys to support the red," he explained.
Lack of leadership in the canarinha
Vagner Love believes that there's a lack of leaders in the national team. He points out that Gerson and Raphinha have evolved toward that, but it is still a process that will take more time. In addition, he forgets about Vini Jr. again.
"Today, who is the leader of the Brazilian national team? Who is the leader of his club and can be the leader of the national team? Nobody. Gerson and Raphinha are assuming this role little by little, but it is a long process," he asked.
"Now, the most important thing is to qualify for the Cup, also to give the players confidence. And we also have to support them more, not just criticize them and charge them to play well," said Vagner Love.
Vini Jr. has yet to lift a trophy with his country, but he has had some outstanding performances. He had some good matches in the Copa América last summer, but a suspension conditioned his tournament.
However, in Brazil they hope to see the decisive and unbalanced Vini Jr. of Real Madrid. That unstoppable player who will return the five-time champions to the throne.
