Gonzalo García's confession about Vini and Mbappé goes viral in Butarque

The youth player pointed out who he sides with between the Brazilian and the Frenchman.

Real Madrid managed to reach the semifinals of the Copa del Rey against Leganés at the last moment. When the match was heading into extra time, the figure of a youth player like Gonzalo García emerged. With his header, he prevented the whites from adding extra time to their legs.

At the end of the match, he was one of the most sought-after players, and in the mixed zone, he made an important confession. The great debate that many Madridists have is who is better, Vini or Mbappé. He started by saying that "they're all great players, the best in the world" are in Madrid.

But he acknowledged that "if I have to choose, I'd go with Kylian Mbappé" and not the Brazilian. He confessed that "I watch him in training and in matches, and it's unbelievable". Therefore, he chooses the Frenchman over Vini, even though they are both great stars.

But there's more, as he also points out who has been a role model for him, a mirror to look into. "I've always idolized Cristiano, I've watched him, a historic player of this club," he stated. So, the Portuguese and Mbappé are the players he chooses.

Gonzalo García continues knocking on the first team's door for the next season

It's true that Gonzalo García had already debuted with the first team, but this has been his magical week. First, he scored 4 goals against Algeciras in Real Madrid Castilla's victory last matchday. And now he scores the winning goal against Leganés in the Copa del Rey.

All of this keeps making his name resonate more and more for the upcoming season. It's clear that the Primera RFEF is too small for him, and he should make the leap. One option is for Castilla to achieve promotion to Segunda, something difficult but not yet ruled out.

The other option, to keep him within the club, is for Endrick to request to leave in the summer to get more minutes. If a loan for the Brazilian is completed, Gonzalo would take his place. Otherwise, they will have to find him a way out while retaining his rights.
