Gonzalo saves €80M for Real Madrid, the '9' Xabi wanted costs a fortune
The forward will remain in the first team and will prevent the signing of another player for the attack
Real Madrid has already made a clear decision regarding Gonzalo García: the Spanish footballer will remain in the first team next season. His participation in the Club World Cup has led Xabi Alonso to consider him for the upcoming season. The striker has gone from being almost out to becoming a full member of the first team in just a few days.
Gonzalo García started the Club World Cup by replacing Kylian Mbappé due to his virus in the match against Al-Hilal. That day, the striker scored Real Madrid's only goal and was recognized with the "MVP" award. From then on, the academy product replaced the Frenchman again in the other two group stage matches, adding another goal and an assist that resulted in a goal.
Finally, Gonzalo García started again against Juventus even though Kylian Mbappé was already included in the squad. The striker solved the situation in the second half with a shot that was impossible for Di Gregorio. At this point, the forward has scored three goals in four Club World Cup matches.

Gonzalo García solves many problems for Real Madrid
Before Gonzalo García's breakthrough, there was talk that Real Madrid was very interested in signing a striker. One of the names that started to emerge was Nick Woltemade, the German player from Stuttgart.
However, according to BILD, the German club intends to receive €80 million for the striker. Bayern is one of the clubs that has approached the young forward, but they're not willing to pay that amount. In fact, Stuttgart is rejecting the first meetings with the Bavarian side.

Therefore, everything suggests that Real Madrid would also have had to pay those €80 million to secure the player's services. However, the emergence and high level of Gonzalo García have caused the club to completely forget about Nick Woltemade.
The striker has managed to score 17 goals in 33 matches and earn a place in Germany's national team drafts. However, the club is not willing to pay such an amount for a player who hasn't yet performed at the highest level competitions.
