Goodbye to Real Madrid, club bids farewell to a footballer before the Club World Cup

The player will leave the first team when the last match of the 24/25 League ends

Real Madrid keeps making the necessary calculations to offer Xabi Alonso the best possible squad before the Club World Cup. The current Bayer Leverkusen coach would have accepted taking charge of the merengue team in the coming weeks and facing that tournament organized by FIFA as his first commitment as a Madridist.

One of the most interesting debates within that process currently taking place in the Valdebebas offices is led by the players whose contracts end in the summer of 2025. The future of footballers like Luka Modric or Lucas Vázquez still raises some doubts, although the situation of the Galician '17' is increasingly leaning toward his farewell from the team.

That's why many doubt that the footballer from Curtis will be available for Xabi Alonso during the Club World Cup. The hypothetical arrival of Trent Alexander-Arnold from Liverpool, in time to travel to the United States with the group, would leave him out of a position to which Dani Carvajal would return. Another footballer who could also effectively leave Real Madrid at the end of the current league season, in just a week, is the center-back Jesús Vallejo.

Real Madrid's '18' returned from an unfruitful loan at Granada during the 23/24 season with the idea of making a place for himself in Santiago Bernabéu locker room. The Zaragoza defender refused to leave despite the insistence of the white bosses: he wanted to prove he could be an ideal second-line center-back for the club. Unfortunately, he hasn't achieved that goal.

He will be the first to leave

Carlo Ancelotti announced at the beginning of this season that he didn't count on him, but Jesús Vallejo kept the determination to stay in the first team until the end. Not even his 'miraculous' appearance in the match against Real Mallorca, providing the header assist to Jacobo Ramón, would have changed the sporting management's opinion.

According to the information published by the newspaper As, Jesús Vallejo's contract ends on June 30, and he hasn't received a renewal to fit into the Club World Cup. Likewise, neither the player nor his representatives have any news about his possible inclusion in Xabi Alonso's tactical plans for that tournament organized by FIFA this summer.

In this situation, everything points to Jesús Vallejo leaving as a free agent from Santiago Bernabéu locker room when his current contract with the merengue team expires. The center-backs currently in the first team, although most are injured, along with the addition of Dean Huijsen, would be sufficient for Xabi Alonso.

Jesús Vallejo hasn't had many opportunities to achieve his goal, but when he has enjoyed some minutes, his performance hasn't been among the most outstanding. Thus would end one of the most exciting signings of the white team that hasn't lived up to its initial expectations.
