Gravenberch to Real Madrid and Tchouaméni to Liverpool, the 'reds' Reply
The forcefulness that Liverpool has had in making clear its position regarding the exchange seeks to carry out
This season has seen some Real Madrid players perform poorly. While the vast majority have been able to improve throughout the campaign, this is not the case with Tchoauméni. The Frenchman, the target of several critics, is on the way out of the club next transfer market.
One of the teams most interested in the player is Liverpool, with the English team considering him as a good transfer for Arne Slot. However, Real Madrid has shown themselves willing to release the Frenchman only if the British allow Ryan Gravenberch to leave.
The Dutch player is of great interest to the Meringue team to strengthen their midfield. In reply to this exchange, Liverpool has stated: "We want Tchouaméni. But not in exchange for Gravenberch." The English have made clear their intentions, considering the Dutchman a key player within the team.
Liverpool's rejection
At just 22 years old, Gravenberch is having an excellent season with Liverpool. Arriving in 2023 from Bayern Munich, the player has established himself in the team managed by Arne Slot. His 1,867 minutes played this season demonstrate his importance, as well as the confidence his coach has in him.
Being a mainstay in midfield, Liverpool haven't shown any interest in a move away from him. With a contract until 2028, the club fully intends for the Dutchman to see out all of those seasons.
Despite their interest in Tchouaméni, the Frenchman hasn't been enough to convince the British to make a swap deal. This has presented a major problem for Real Madrid's plans for the coming seasons.
Real Madrid's intentions
Whether it's with Liverpool or another team, the reality is that Tchouaméni's future at Real Madrid has been decided. The Frenchman has failed to meet expectations and the team is clear that an exit is the best option for both sides. Mainly because of the major concentration problems he constantly has.
