Huijsen Will Sign for Real Madrid, Confirms a Former Madridist and Friend of Florentino
The Spanish defender is one of the main targets for the white team in the coming summers
One of the signings Real Madrid would need for the upcoming seasons is the arrival of a center-back. After the departures recorded during the current season, as well as Nacho Fernández's exit as a free agent, the club's executives would seek to make this addition a reality. It is not an easy task since there are many names in play.
One of the most striking is William Saliba. Arsenal's '2', despite being one of Real Madrid's priorities for the center-back position, raises several "doubts" from an economic standpoint. His transfer could reach or even exceed 100M euros, a figure that the club's management would not view favorably.

That's why Huijsen has emerged as the most reliable alternative. Joaquín Maroto, deputy director of the newspaper As, makes it clear that the Spanish center-back of Dutch origin is more than settled in the orbit of the club. Especially because it is a profile that originated during his time in Italy: "when he arrived at Juventus, Allegri placed him on the left side because he needed him there".
Joaquín Maroto points out that Huijsen "is right-footed by birth, but plays on the left because he doesn't distinguish very well if he is right or left-footed". Real Madrid, so far, has been "exploring the market in search of players with very specific characteristics" like Huijsen himself. Additionally, Joaquín Maroto hints that it wouldn't be strange to foresee a move by Real Madrid for Dean Huijsen in the coming months.
Promising Center-Back
Because the club "has already taken a step that is almost logical, it has invited the boy's father to visit Valdebebas". This clear approach by Real Madrid to the closest environment of the current AFC Bournemouth center-back would be a clear sign of the interest the club has in signing him as soon as possible.
The release clause of Dean Huijsen, according to the deputy director of the newspaper As, would be set at 50M euros, but he considers that "it's negotiable money. In any case, those amounts, for players who meet the requirements Madrid is looking for, are not high amounts", recalls the veteran journalist.

Joaquín Maroto also seems to have top-level information because he warns that "he is a Madridist, the boy wants to play for Real Madrid". Despite those 'good news' regarding Huijsen, Joaquín Maroto reminds that Real Madrid doesn't promise a starting position: "if he comes, he will have to take on that challenge, which is not easy. He has to give, at least, the level that Asencio is giving, which seems easy but it is not".
The deputy director of As recalls that Dean Huijsen has other options in the European football elite regarding his possible signing, such as Liverpool or Manchester United. Despite everything, "Madrid is not going to enter those battles" considering what happened in the 'Yoro case' and the inability to compete with clubs of private fortunes.
