With the start of the season, some rumors in the market have eased in recent hours. However, there are others, like those involving Vinícius, that have resurfaced. The Brazilian didn't have his best day against Osasuna, especially in attack, and people are asking him to step up and become a leader.

With his performance being a topic of debate, his contract renewal has also entered the discussions. Eduardo Inda's newspaper, Ok Diario, points out that the positions remain very far apart. Vinícius's intention is not to reach an agreement for now despite the negotiations.

According to reports, he wants to keep things this way until January 2027 (enero de 2027), when there will be only a few months left on his contract. At that time, he'll try to renew with a significant signing bonus for that reason. Otherwise, he'll start looking for a new destination that will improve that amount.

He won't lack offers; the question is whether Real Madrid shares Vinícius's stance on this issue. Los Blancos won't allow him to leave for free and would activate his sale next summer. They know they can achieve a historic transfer and won't let the opportunity slip away.

Florentino won't hesitate

Florentino is very clear that, when the time comes, he'll put Vinícius up for sale if he hasn't signed his renewal. It's true that he is very fond of him and supports him staying at the club. However, he also won't hesitate if he has to make such a drastic decision.

First of all, he already has the experience with Cristiano Ronaldo, when he was the team's leader. However, he ended up being transferred to Juventus, in a perfect move for Los Blancos. They had profited from him and, on top of that, he left more money in the coffers than he cost.

Now they could do the same with Vinícius, being confident that they have his replacement. Mbappé would return to play on the left wing and they'd only need a center forward. Although Endrick, if he breaks out this season, could be that player for the '9' position.
