Jesús Fortea received offers from 2 Second Division clubs, Arbeloa stopped him

The two teams that sought Jesús Fortea's departure from Real Madrid's youth academy

One of the greatest talents in Real Madrid's youth academy is, without a doubt, the Spaniard Jesús Fortea. Under Álvaro Arbeloa's leadership at Castilla, Fortea has continued his impressive progress as a right-back. However, according to Defensa Central, Leganés and another Second Division club sought to sign him.

Tempting the player with the opportunity to get playing time and fight for promotion to LaLiga, Arbeloa stopped this move. This was due to the importance the player has in Castilla's plans this season. Moreover, with Xabi Alonso's plans for the future, Fortea could be an important player for the coach from Tolosa.

Fortea, whose future was filled with doubts a few months ago at Real Madrid, now has Arbeloa's and Xabi's trust. Although Second Division clubs were only seeking a loan, Real Madrid's response did not change. The right-back is expected to be important in a season where Castilla has big plans.

Real Madrid's future

At just 18 years old, Jesús Fortea joined Real Madrid's youth academy during the summer of 2022. Previously trained in Levante's and Atlético's academies, Fortea had already begun to stand out with his potential as a right-back. His move from Atlético to Real Madrid, at the time, was widely discussed due to all the tension between both clubs.

However, Fortea did not hesitate to become part of the Merengue team, starting in the Youth Football system before moving up. After playing for Juvenil A and C, Fortea joined Castilla just this summer. With the coach's trust, Álvaro Arbeloa, Fortea is one of the most outstanding players in Castilla's squad.

Such is the relationship with Arbeloa and Xabi Alonso that they were responsible for Fortea signing his contract renewal. Given this, it's clear that the player is not interested in leaving the Merengue youth academy. While his goal is to become part of the first team, he also wants to help Castilla achieve its promotion to, precisely, the Second Division.

The Merengue promise

With an outstanding projection for the future, Jesús Fortea aims to become part of the first team. Given the opportunities Xabi gives young players, Fortea trusts he will be considered by the coach. Although the first team's squad is complete with Carvajal and Trent at right-back, this is not an obstacle for Fortea.
