José Félix Díaz confirms the truth about Rodri and Real Madrid: 'This summer...'
The journalist claims that the deal is impossible this summer due to the amount of money involved and the lack of contacts
Rodri has been one of the most talked-about names in recent months. Manchester City's midfielder is highly regarded at Real Madrid. However, despite the rumors, there is no move underway.
This has been confirmed by journalist José Félix Díaz. The white club hasn't made any offer for the Spanish international. It doesn't plan to do so this summer.
At Valdebebas, they acknowledge that Rodri is a profile that would fit perfectly. He is the ideal holding midfielder for Xabi Alonso. They also admit that signing him now is practically impossible.
City doesn't intend to let him leave and Madrid isn't willing to pay the more than €100 million (over €100 million) mentioned in England.
The club believes that, for this summer, it's a closed operation. There is no negotiation in progress, nor any recent contact with the player's camp.

An option for the future
Although the signing is ruled out in the short term, Real Madrid isn't removing him from its agenda. If Rodri doesn't renew, in the summer of 2026 he could become attainable. He would enter his final contract year and the situation would be different.
The club will then evaluate several factors. The first is his physical condition, since Rodri has just overcome a significant knee injury. In Madrid, they will closely monitor his progress during the next season.
They will also analyze the economic and sporting scenario. It's no secret that Rodri would be the perfect "5" to lead the white midfield.

Madrid trusts what it has
For now, Real Madrid will bet on the resources it already has. Tchouaméni, Camavinga, and even Arda Güler are options to play in that position.
None of them is exactly like Rodri, but the club is convinced that they can fulfill that role. Xabi Alonso will work with them to adjust the system to their characteristics.
Rodri remains a dream for the future, but for now, Real Madrid won't make a move. There won't be an offer this summer, nor negotiations with City. Only patience and vigilance.
