It's no secret that Ancelotti is not exactly one of the coaches who trusts the youth academy of his teams the most.  However, as is already obvious this season with so many injuries, he doesn't have much choice.

So far this season, we have seen players like Raúl Asencio debut with the club and demonstrate their great quality. Now it could be Jacobo's turn, who has already played with the club before and left a good impression on the coach.

Given the confidence he is being shown, the player, who is almost 6 feet 7 inches tall, might even want to try him in the Champions League match against City. This is considering that he is a player with great defensive skills, and he can compete in the aerial ball with Haaland.

The most challenging part of all this will surely be to see if the scheme the Italian is planning for these matches ends up working. A somewhat risky bet due to the importance in this part of the season, but if it works, it will be a great advancement.
