The former Real Madrid footballer wanted to praise the top-level performance Gonzalo GarcĂa is showing

Real Madrid is already in the quarterfinals of the Club World Cup after defeating Juventus thanks to a header from Gonzalo. In the 54th minute, the Spanish forward trained at La Fábrica put the finishing touch on a strong second half for Los Blancos. The team led by Xabi Alonso changed completely after halftime, and the Italians couldn't get into the match.

The balance of the first half, in which Kolo Muani and Jude Bellingham missed two clear chances, was broken in the second half. "Having control of the ball and, when we lose it, trying to recover it as quickly as possible to try to attack. That way, the opposing team also gets worn out and that's how it was a better match", Xabi Alonso commented at halftime.

Gonzalo GarcĂa, three goals in four Club World Cup matches

Little by little, Real Madrid kept pinning Juventus back, stringing together chances until a cross from Trent Alexander-Arnold was powerfully headed into the goal by Gonzalo.

The third goal in four starts for the forward sent Real Madrid through to the quarterfinals, and it could have scored more goals. However, Di Gregorio, who was among the best for the visiting team today, managed to prevent a much wider lead.

Additionally, Kylian Mbappé returned in the 68th minute after overcoming a virus that kept him out of the first three matches. The Frenchman was on the field for 22 minutes and is still seeking his full fitness for the rest of the games.
