Joselu's request to Real Madrid before retiring: he wants to return
The former Madridist sends a message to the club expressing his desire for his future
Joselu became a hero for Madridists in the 2023–2024 season, especially in the Champions League. As the scorer of a brace against Bayern, he was key to making it to the Wembley final. But at the end of that season, he decided to leave and head to Qatar.
The striker gave an interview to Marca where he opened up and made a request. Before announcing his retirement from professional soccer, he wants to return and that's what he has conveyed. However, he isn't planning to sign for the club for one last season.

Joselu warns that his idea will be "when I make the decision to leave soccer in a few years." At that moment, he confesses that "it would be unbelievable if I could arrive at Real Madrid's stadium and they could give you a small tribute. It would be a special moment for me, since that club was my life."
He isn't aiming for a friendly match where he would be the main figure, as that would be a farewell among friends. Instead, Joselu believes that "experiencing that in an official match, being able to do something before the game... It would be something very beautiful," he ended up admitting about this possible tribute from Real Madrid in the future.
The idol of Madridists thanks to his contribution and commitment
Joselu returned to Real Madrid to be a box striker as a substitute for Ancelotti. However, history had an essential role reserved for him among Madridists. As we've already mentioned, he scored a crucial brace in the Champions League semifinals.

A homegrown player, who had to make his way in different teams, and returned to be the hero. The perfect script for the striker, who is now spending his last years in Qatar before his retirement. It wouldn't be surprising if his request to Real Madrid ends up coming true.
Above all because inside the club, he also left a very good impression due to his commitment to the badge. He contributed many goals, even though he wasn't the starting striker, although he did get minutes. However, that situation never led him to raise his voice to demand more prominence.
