Josep Pedrerol makes Vinícius's future 'official', he signs now, many will be hurt
The veteran journalist settles doubts about the Brazilian striker's future
Despite all the changes recorded in recent weeks, one of the sagas that Real Madrid faces is centered on Vinícius Jr.'s future. The verdeamarelo footballer has spent several months causing doubts about his roadmap in world soccer, doubts that the top executives led by Florentino Pérez would like to eliminate completely.
To achieve this, they have prepared a contract renewal offer that, at least for now, hasn't convinced the forward from São Gonçalo's camp. In any case, the closeness of positions between Real Madrid and one of their top stars is a reality that hasn't changed according to multiple sports media outlets. Among them is "El Chiringuito de Jugones".

This was revealed by Josep Pedrerol on the latest broadcast of this sports talk show. The veteran Catalan journalist, after recalling that his contract is set to expire in the summer of 2027, reports that "Vinícius is going to sign for three more years". The goal is for him "to have five years and Madrid considers that important".
With those five years on his contract, according to Josep Pedrerol, Vinícius would be "calm. It's surely going to be announced before the Club World Cup", the journalist and panelist states. "The agreement that was mentioned three months ago is finally going to be solved", making effective one of the most desired contract renewals by the club's fans.
It's practically decided
Josep Pedrerol insists: "it's surely going to be announced before the Club World Cup. In the end, three more years for Vinícius". That renewal that Real Madrid has put forward for one of their top stars would have been fulfilled according to the host of "El Chiringuito de Jugones".
Also because "the contract has to improve, but it doesn't mean he's going to earn 32 either". The issue of the salary that the Brazilian forward could receive under his new contract terms remains the most complicated aspect to solve in this agreement with Real Madrid.

Indeed, the executives led by Florentino Pérez completely rejected his initial salary proposals. Vinícius was requesting a salary that was too high for the performance he had delivered so far... and for his projected performance from the Valdebebas offices, forcing more maneuvers from the Madrid executives.
This way, they have made various approaches to the South American footballer, starting from a base salary, until finding the common ground that fits both parties' expectations. Now that agreement, according to Josep Pedrerol, is closer than ever to becoming official.
