"Everyone practically already considered Real Madrid qualified, and few were going to thank or reward them for making it to the final", he explained.

"It's not that there was little to gain by making it to a final. Given the situation, everyone already expected Real Madrid to be there", he concluded.

Real Madrid Still Doesn't Know Their Opponent in the Final

Now, Real Madrid awaits the outcome of the other semifinal to know their opponent in the grand final of the Copa del Rey. Although historically this tournament hasn't been a priority for the club, it could become a key title in the season. However, after the performance shown against Real Sociedad, the team will need to improve their defensive solidity if they want to continue competing at the highest level.

The club will be closely watching the match taking place this Wednesday between Atlético and Barça at the Metropolitano. From there will emerge the club against which Carlo Ancelotti's players will play on April 26 at La Cartuja.
