Juni Calafat Has a Plan B to Alphonso Davies to Strengthen Madrid's Squad

Juni Calafat was one of those who insisted the most on signing Alphonso Davies, but in the end, the signing didn't happen. The player chose to renew with Bayern Munich, and Real Madrid has had to focus on other footballers. The Madrid scout already has his next target clear. 

 According to information from our colleagues at Defensa Central, Juni Calafat has recommended the club sign Andrea Cambiaso, the Italian left-back. He is 25 years old and plays for Juventus in Turin, where he has already played 74 official matches. In those games, he has managed to score five goals and provide nine assists. 

However, the same source claims that Juventus is asking for 65M euros for the transfer, and Madrid are not in favor. They find it a very high amount, especially considering that his market value is 40M euros, according to Transfermarkt. For this reason, they are also analyzing other options. 

There Are More Options

As is logical, Real Madrid are keeping an eye on more left-backs, because it's always necessary to have alternatives in case a signing falls through. They are very fond of Miguel Gutiérrez and Álvaro Carreras, two players who have been part of the club's youth academy. Both could end up having their chance at Madrid.

Although Fran and Mendy have several years of contract with Real Madrid, they don't fully convince the Madrid entity.
