Karim Benzema, Most Madrid Fan of All, Reveals What He Does When Real Madrid Plays
The French player makes a striking confession about his former team's games
Karim Benzema is still a legend at Real Madrid for everything he did with the white team. It's true that his departure caught everyone by surprise, as it seemed he was going to stay for another year. However, that doesn't take away from him being an idol for the fans, and he's proven it once again.
Taking advantage of the fact that the Spanish Supercopa is being held in Saudi Arabia, the Frenchman has been with his former teammates. First, he visited them at the team hotel and then watched them in the semifinals. He was in the stands during the game where they defeated Mallorca.
However, he also gave an interview in which he revealed what he does when his former team plays. "I always watch Real Madrid's games," he stated emphatically. Unless he's playing himself, he tries to keep up with the Meringues no matter what.
In fact, he was asked if he missed Real Madrid, and Benzema admitted that he did. "It's my club, I've been there half my life and I feel at home," he also added. Something that seems evident by the fact that he continues to watch the white team's games, and he's surely going to be at the final.
Benzema unexpectedly announces his return to Real Madrid
Benzema's name has been on the table on some occasions for a return to Real Madrid. Especially last season when many claimed they were going to have problems with the attack. However, it's a possibility that was never considered at Bernabéu.
However, now Karim Benzema has surprised everyone by confessing his return to Real Madrid. When asked if he'd do it, he was emphatic: "Of course, why not?" Although it doesn't seem like it will be in the short term and much less as a player.
"For now, I'm in Jeddah and I'm doing very well," the French player clarified, although he left a door open. "The time will come to see how life is, and I'm sure I'll be close to Madrid," he confessed. So he will return, although we'll see what position he ends up occupying in the white team.
