Kubo Ignites the Match Against Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey: 'If I Score...'

The strong statements with which Takefusa Kubo has started to intensify the match against Real Madrid

The draw for the Copa del Rey semifinals resulted in extremely exciting matches. Real Madrid, after having eliminated Leganés, will have to face Real Sociedad. Preparing for this match to secure their place in the grand final, Kubo surprised with his recent statements.

"If I score one like that against Real Madrid, I'll go crazy," were his words after the Europa League match. Visiting Midtjylland in Denmark, the Japanese player was key to the txuri-urdin victory. Scoring a goal that prompted the comment with which Kubo demonstrated the little respect he has for Real Madrid.

"...If I score one like the one in Denmark, I think I'm going to go crazy, as I usually do." With these last words, Kubo made it clear that, despite his Madridist past, he will celebrate a goal against Real Madrid.

Kubo's Resentment

Being part of Real Sociedad since 2022, Kubo has established himself as a star of the team. The Japanese winger has managed to demonstrate at 23 years old a quality he learned during his time at Real Madrid. Arriving at Valdebebas in 2019, the player never managed to dazzle the Merengues despite his multiple loans.

Due to this, Kubo developed a resentment toward the club that he has maintained to this day, with his statements being proof of it. Frustrated for not having been able to succeed in white, the Japanese player prefers to disrespect Real Madrid instead of thanking them.

While his statements have begun to generate tension ahead of his Copa match, Real Madrid is focused on other matters. This shows the team's confidence in achieving a victory that brings them closer to their third title of the season.

It's Not Real Madrid's Fault

Over the years, Madrid has signed great stars and prospects who, despite their talent, have not managed to shine. Kubo, despite his level, never had what it takes to shine in a club that has shown that the Japanese player is really not needed.
