Maldini's List of Those Accused: Ancelotti is the First but There Are Many More
Those responsible for the current state of Real Madrid have been recently pointed out by Maldini
Much has been said about the current season from Real Madrid. Losing their dominant level from last season, Real Madrid has exposed several of their problems throughout the matches. Even so, for Maldini, Carlo Ancelotti hasn't been the only one responsible for Real Madrid's irregular season.
Recently, Maldini has pointed to Real Madrid itself, specifically the management, for the club's problems. "They have often lacked a plan... the plan hasn't been there from the management, from the club to sign players" were his words. Through this, Maldini has condemned Real Madrid's lack of decision to make signings.

Faced with the clear problems that Real Madrid had presented, Maldini was surprised by the lack of signings in the winter market. While Ancelotti remains partly responsible for the club's performance, the management has conditioned this situation.
Maldini's Opinion
Transfer markets are always the perfect opportunity for all teams to strengthen their squads. From the departure of players to the arrival of new elements, Real Madrid is always present in the markets. However, last summer stood out because Real Madrid only made the transfer of Kylian Mbappé.
Losing Toni Kroos and receiving Mbappé, Real Madrid didn't reinforce a midfield that has had problems all season. Although Ceballos managed to provide the control that was missing, his injury once again exposed Real Madrid's shortcomings.

A similar situation has been experienced by the defense all season, suffering injuries and the low level of several of their central defenders. This is why part of the blame for this season is the lack of a concrete plan from the management.
Ancelotti Isn't Alone
Through his words, Maldini has shown that Ancelotti isn't the main one responsible for Real Madrid's level. Although his departure is practically a fact, this season could be a great lesson for a club that must prepare for the next season.
