Liverpool Moves to Strengthen their Midfield with Tchouaméni in their Sights

Tchouaméni, who is being eyed by Liverpool, is waiting to be trasnfered by the Reds and they have made a final decision

There are a number of important players in the Real Madrid team who are attracting the attention of other big clubs in Europe. One of them is clearly the French pivot Aurélien Tchouaméni, mainly from Premier League teams. Of the candidates that seemed the most likely to get the services of the Frenchman, it is Arne Slot's Liverpool.

However, it seems that they have made a momentous decision regarding the fate of another player in their team, and that is Ryan Gravenberch. This is because everything is leading to a renewal of the Dutch player's contract and they are leaving out the French player from Madrid. A decision that could be quite relevant for the future, since Madrid was perhaps expecting a financial offer.

Since his arrival a couple of years ago,  the number '14' hasn't performed as expected and this has raised doubts among fans and management. Therefore, losing this opportunity against a team with financial power like Liverpool is a hard blow for the Meringues' plans.

He'll stay at the club

Although it is true that he arrived from Monaco as one of the greatest promises of French soccer, he hasn't performed to the expected level. In addition, he started with the premise of becoming the replacement for Casemiro, who is a true legend.

In his first few games he seemed to show great abilities and, above all, an enviable mobility on the field. However, today he seems slow and rather clumsy when bringing the ball out, which is detrimental to the team's development.

The option of selling him to a club that could pay a high fee was an interesting possibility. However, the British club has decided to skip this operation altogether and renew the player they already have in their team.

They'll look for another way out

Although it is not one of the board's main priorities, they will not stop looking for an interesting exit that can meet the financial expectations. Although this could change radically if the player connects and finally shows why he was signed.
