The summer transfer market is still far from over for Real Madrid. After signing Huijsen and Arnold, Real Madrid is focused on targets like Álvaro Carreras and another midfielder. However, Real Madrid and Florentino Pérez have received a request from Luis Figo to carry out the signing of Nico Williams.

With a value of €60 million, Figo made it clear that this is an opportunity that can't be missed. Calling Nico one of the best Spanish players today, his signing for Real Madrid would be a great move. Even though he shares a position with Vinícius Júnior, Figo believes Xabi could make both of them work together.

Having been essential for Athletic Club and the Spanish national team, Nico chose to stay one more year in Bilbao. After closing the door to a possible move to Barcelona, this door has reopened, now with more strength, during this summer.

With Barcelona and Athletic having a tense relationship because of Nico, Figo has seen this as an opportunity for Real Madrid. Given Barcelona's unfortunate financial state, the Culers won't be able to compete for this transfer against Real Madrid.
