During a recent broadcast of El Chiringuito, Roncero made clear the interesting offer that Luka Modric had in his hands several months ago. Able to leave Real Madrid to earn a lot of money, Modric rejected the offer to stay at the club.
"It was in 2023 and he said 'no': I want to keep enjoying Madrid," Roncero added to show Modric's commitment to Real Madrid. Although Modric couldn't keep himself at the club for one more season as he wanted, at least he retired with his head held high.
