Mac Allister Reveals if He'll Sign for Real Madrid or Stay at Liverpool

Since Toni Kroos's retirement, Real Madrid's midfield has been left very unattended. Losing a player who organized the club's play for a decade, Real Madrid has been in search of his replacement.  While Real Madrid has analyzed several options, few have truly convinced them.

Alexis Mac Allister is one of them, with the Liverpool player being a quite solid option to strengthen the midfield. Having played several seasons in the elite of European soccer, Mac Allister is an established player. Even so, the player has recently revealed his future: "I don't think it's necessary to talk about other teams."

Through these words, Mac Allister made it clear that he doesn't plan to leave Liverpool, at least for now. Additionally, Mac Allister mentioned: "I'm doing well at Liverpool and I have no reason to leave," closing the door to Real Madrid.

The Decision with Real Madrid

Having been part of Liverpool since 2023, Mac Allister has excelled as one of the best midfielders in the Premier League. At 26 years old, Mac Allister has become an essential piece for the British squad and the Argentina national team. Given his display of talent, Real Madrid, clearly, has taken notice of him in recent months.

Playing 3,442 minutes this season, it's quite evident the importance of Mac Allister for Liverpool. Becoming the leader of the midfield, Mac Allister is responsible for creating play, controlling the pace of matches, and supporting the entire team.

While his contract is until 2028, Madrid didn't see this as a problem to attempt his signing in the next market. However, Mac Allister's recent statements have presented a significant obstacle.

Mac Allister's Rejection

Despite not having ruled out Mac Allister's signing yet, his words make it clear that he doesn't seek to leave Liverpool. In light of this, Real Madrid can try to convince Mac Allister to change teams or look for another player to strengthen their midfield.
