Madrid Goes for the Premier League's Biggest Talent, a Totally Unexpected Transfer

Cole Palmer has caught the attention of Florentino Pérez and the Real Madrid sports management considers the transfer

Real Madrid has Cole Palmer on its radar, one of the most promising jewels in the Premier League. The Chelsea star has caught the attention of the big European clubs, and the whites want to secure his incorporation to strengthen their attack.

A key player at Chelsea

Palmer, 22, is not just another player in the London team but its top star. He is in charge of  taking penalties and all the set pieces, a role that demonstrates his importance in Chelsea's scheme.

Since his arrival, he has played 62 games, scoring 36 goals and providing 21 assists. Impressive figures that support his current value of 90 million euros.

Unlike other clubs, Chelsea has no financial needs. Thanks to the backing of its powerful owners, the club is a financial powerhouse that is not forced to sell its stars.

In this context, the player's own desire will be vital for Real Madrid to be able to close the deal. If Palmer decides that he wants to wear white and play for major titles such as the Champions League, his will could make the difference.

What is Real Madrid looking for?

Madrid continue to look to rejuvenate their squad with young and talented players. Palmer fits the bill perfectly, not only because of his versatility – he can play as an attacking midfielder, right winger or central midfielder – but also because of his ability to score goals and lead on the field.

The club sees Palmer as a strategic piece, especially for the future, when veterans like Modric are no longer around. As has happened with Kroos. In addition, his experience in the Premier League and his ability to assume responsibilities make him a reliable transfer.

A feasible transfer?

Although Chelsea are in no rush to sell, if Palmer shows interest in leaving, negotiations could move forward. Real Madrid are banking on the attractiveness of their sporting project to convince the player to make the move to Santiago Bernabéu.

The next market will be crucial. Madrid's interest reaffirms its intention to continue dominating the talent market and consolidate a competitive team for the present and the future.
