Madrid legends: Lucas Vázquez remembers Modric and madridists get emotional

This summer, Real Madrid saw two of the club's legends leave when their contracts ended. Both Lucas Vázquez and Modric are not staying with the white team this season. The club decided not to offer them a contract renewal in order to start thinking about the future.

However, it's clear that both are great friends, after having spent so many years together. They have shown this with the gesture Lucas Vázquez has had with Modric these days. The full-back remembers his former teammate and wanted to let him know.

Everything happened as a result of a post that Modric made on his personal Instagram profile. He shared a series of images from his debut with his new team, Milan. "My new home!" he began in the message he posted alongside the photos.

"Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all Milan fans for the wonderful hospitality and affection you showed me yesterday at San Siro. See you on Saturday!" the Croatian finished. All Madridists have been paying close attention to this post.

Lucas Vázquez and more Madridists remember Modric

Even though he is no longer at Real Madrid, it seems that Madridism is still paying close attention to its former captain. Lucas Vázquez showed this by not hesitating to respond to that post by sending him a message. The Galician full-back did not hesitate to call him "doctore", doctor in Spanish.

But Lucas was not the only one, as Vinicius also reacted by liking that post. Fran García and Alaba also replied, showing the affection they have for him.  Even Roberto Carlos wanted to remember him with a "bravo lindo" in the comments section.

It's clear that Modric will always be one of the greatest legends of Real Madrid. That's why Madridism gets emotional when seeing the respect and admiration they still have for each other. They do not hesitate to show it, as in this case, with the Croatian midfielder and his new chapter at Milan.
