Maldini points to Trent after just 5 matches with Real Madrid: 'The Arnold who...'

The journalist believes that the English footballer is not performing as many had hoped

Julio Maldonado, better known as Maldini, has analyzed Real Madrid's latest matches in one of his recent videos. The journalist has focused on Trent Alexander-Arnold and claims that he isn't performing as desired, especially in offensive duties.

This is because he isn't being as incisive in attack as was desired at first. However, the international soccer expert believes that he is adapting and that it's likely he will improve his performance sooner or later.

Meanwhile, Xabi Alonso is satisfied with what he sees from the former Liverpool player. The competition for Dani Carvajal will be tough, but this is a "blessed" problem. They are two completely different types of full-backs, and it's a top-level advantage for the coaching staff to be able to count on both.

The deal that brought him to the white house was closed for about five million euros (5 million euros), so it's more than paid off thanks to the World Cup. It's worth highlighting that the Merengue side has earned about 78.7 million USD (72 million euros) for reaching the semifinals. If they beat PSG, they'll receive 32.8 million USD (30 million euros) more.

Combination player

The sporting management insists that he is a footballer who truly benefits from combining with teammates. Unlike Carvajal himself, it's not very common to see him take on opposing defenses.

One of the qualities that deserves the most praise is his ball striking. In fact, he has already shown this as a Madridist. Proof of this was the assist he gave to Fran García in the last match against Borussia Dortmund.

Therefore, everything suggests that he will keep progressing. It's important to remember that he is only 26 years old. He has a long career ahead of him and, unless he decides to leave, he will pursue it at Real Madrid.

Trent, who is in better physical condition than Carvajal, is expected to start against PSG and in a potential final. Once LaLiga begins, it will be necessary to see what Xabi's choice is. Some even point out that both could play together, but that's another matter.
