Maldini Predicts the Result of the Second Leg Against Atlético and the Team Advancing to the Quarterfinals

The result and the qualification for the quarterfinals for the match against Atlético de Madrid has been predicted by Maldini.

The first leg between Real Madrid and Atlético de Madrid was an extremely exciting duel. Despite the red-and-white dominance in various parts of the match, the white club managed to secure a 2-1 victory. By relying on the brilliance of its stars, the merengue team achieved a slight advantage for the return match at the Wanda Metropolitano.

In light of this crucial match for both clubs, Maldini has given his prediction on the outcome.  "A one-one draw," were his words to make clear the result with which Real Madrid will secure its qualification. Seeking to be in the Champions League quarter-finals, the merengue team is slightly favored by Maldini.

"Atlético de Madrid has lost a tremendous opportunity today to get a truly good result because Madrid was very depleted". Through these words, Maldini further highlighted Real Madrid's superiority.

The Victorious Team

The Madrid derbies are always matches filled with emotion and, above all, tension. The recent Champions League encounter was no exception, with both clubs fighting until the end for victory.  Although Atlético enjoyed control of the match and more opportunities, it was too conservative against a team that will never forgive anything.

Maldini's words made this clear, with the colchoneros being unable to overcome a Real Madrid affected by injuries and absences. If the match was complicated for them in this way, nothing guarantees a red-and-white victory for the return match.

That's why, after seeing the performance of both squads, Maldini made it clear that the match at the Wanda will be a draw. Although Atlético will manage to level the match, it will be an insufficient result to achieve their passage to the desired quarter-finals.

Superiority in the Champions League

While in domestic competitions it can put up a fight, Atlético de Madrid will always be surpassed in the Champions League. This competition is the favorite of a Real Madrid that, after the last match, once again demonstrated its superiority.
