Rayo President Martín Presa's Reply to Vini's Gesture: 'We...'
Rayo Vallecano's president went to 'El Chiringuito' to talk about Vinícius Jr's controversial action
Days go by and the action carried out by Vini Jr. at the Vallecas Stadium continues to be a talk of the town. This time, Josep Pedrerol allowed Raúl Martín Presa, president of Rayo Vallecano, to go to El Chiringuito to talk about what happened.
To no one's surprise, the president defended his team's fans. He also sent a reply to Vinícius Jr. after the Brazilian's gesture in which he sent the local club's supporters to the Second Division.
Martin Presa's words in 'El Chiringuito'
Martín Presa said that "the fans were exemplary" in their behavior during the game. He also pointed out that the chants that could have been produced by a section of the supporters toward Vinícius were not racist. "The 'silly' chant was not a lack of respect but a definition of behavior," explained the president.
However, Martín Presa didn't ask for a penalty for Vinícius Jr., as he believes that these are gestures from the game itself stay there. "Vinícius should not be sanctioned. These are gestures after the game," said the president of Rayo Vallecano.
An unexpected comparison
Later, Martín Presa used a comparison to explain the situation of Rayo Vallecano and how difficult it is for the Vallecano team to stay in the First Division.
"For us, staying in the First Division is like winning the Champions League for Madrid," the president of Rayo Vallecano tried to explain.
Martín Presa is not very happy with Vini Jr.'s gesture, but he has tried to downplay his importance. The position of the president of Rayo Vallecano clashes drastically with that of Javier Tebas. The head of LaLiga asked that the actions of the Real Madrid attacker and the fans be investigated by the Anti-Violence Commission.
"Like all players, he gets angry and nothing more," said the president of LaLiga. "That is up to the Integrity Body. We have the capacity to report, but nothing more," said Javier Tebas when asked about a possible sanction for Vini Jr.
The gesture of the Real Madrid player is going around the world and is still being commented on several days later. Meanwhile, the messages from the Barça fans in which they also send CD Leganés to the Second Division are not appearing anywhere.
