Mbappé Advises an 80M-Euro Signing for Real Madrid Without Waiting Until 2026 or 2027
For the next season, Real Madrid is quite clear that they need to change many aspects of their squad. While the level of most players has improved as the season has progressed, this hasn't been enough for Madrid. Looking to return to their dominant level from last season, Real Madrid seeks to strengthen their defense.
With several center-backs in sight for the next market, Kylian Mbappé has recommended signing William Saliba. The Arsenal player is one of the center-backs who has most captured Real Madrid's attention. However, due to his importance at Arsenal and his contract, Real Madrid had decided to wait on his signing.

At least that was the initial plan until Mbappé's recommendation, who prefers to spend 80 million euros to secure Saliba. Without having to wait any longer, Real Madrid could acquire Saliba's services in the next market.
Mbappé's Signing
At 24 years old, William Saliba is considered one of the best center-backs in the world. Becoming an essential player for Arsenal, part of the team's defensive solidity is thanks to him. That's why, to secure his future with the team, his contract runs until 2027, with some rumors pointing to an upcoming renewal.
While his signing for the next market won't be easy, Mbappé is clear that it's an operation that must be carried out. Having a great friendship with Saliba as they are both French, Mbappé could be key in changing his compatriot's future.

Despite plans to make a low offer in 2026 or wait for Saliba for free in 2027, Mbappé has other plans. Aware of the problems Real Madrid has had with their defense, Mbappé has strongly advised signing William Saliba.
Real Madrid's New Center-Back
Despite the strong interest in William Saliba, the operation to secure his services must be carefully studied. Although it's evident that Real Madrid needs another center-back, it's up to the team to decide whether to sign Saliba or not.
