Mbappé, Very Close to the Ballon D'or: the Only Candidate Who Surpasses Him

As the season enters its final stretch, several titles are on their way to being decided. Just as teams are fighting for collective trophies, players are doing the same with individual ones.  Such is the case of Kylian Mbappé, who after these explosive two months of 2025, has become a serious candidate to win the Ballon d'Or.

The Frenchman's level has been spectacular since the beginning of this year, appearing in several important matches.  However, in a recent list shared by the newspaper Marca, the Frenchman has been surpassed by Mohamed Salah. The Egyptian player leads the race for the Ballon d'Or with extremely impressive statistics.

Influencing 52 of his team's goals, it's clear that Mbappé faces quite a challenge if he seeks to surpass the Egyptian. Although, for the moment, it seems difficult to surpass Salah, Mbappé has always been a player known for his love of challenges.

At 26 years old, it seems unbelievable that a player of Mbappé's caliber hasn't won a Ballon d'Or. Always in the fight for this award, the Frenchman has always fallen short. However, the 28 goals and 5 assists he has achieved this season are a clear indication that the player is focused on achieving it.

Determined to obtain his first Ballon d'Or, the player knows that aside from goals, winning titles is essential. An objective also shared by Salah, who this season along with Liverpool are the big favorites to win it all.

Surpassing Julián Álvarez, Kane, Yamal, Vinícius, Lewandowski, Bellingham, Dembélé, and Raphinha, Mbappé only needs to surpass one more player. With still a few months of competition ahead, the Frenchman is determined to make history.

Despite having made it clear that his goal was collective titles, Mbappé hasn't taken his eyes off individual trophies. Winning the Ballon d'Or would be the perfect reward for a player who has been one of the best in the world for years.
