Melchor Ruiz stops the rumors and announces Madrid's market plan: 'The idea...
The journalist claims Real Madrid will not make any signings and that the players they like exceed €100 million
Real Madrid doesn't intend to enter the market at this time. Journalist Melchor Ruiz has confirmed this, putting an end to rumors about possible immediate signings.
"Real Madrid isn't considering going to the market right now," he explained on Tiempo de Juego on Cadena COPE. Despite the departures of Kroos and Modric, the club doesn't plan to make a major investment this summer.
Expensive signings, ruled out
Melchor also revealed that there are players the sporting management really likes. Cases such as Enzo Fernández or Alexis Mac Allister, who fit the desired profile. However, their prices, above €100 million ($100 million), make them unaffordable.

"The club isn't willing to pay that amount," he pointed out. The strategy isn't to sign established stars, but rather younger, promising, and affordable profiles.
However, Melchor clarified that these types of players don't deliver immediate results. Therefore, forgetting Kroos and Modric with a single signing won't be possible. The transition in midfield will be gradual.
Xabi Alonso and the club, in sync
The decision hasn't been made lightly. Both Xabi Alonso and the club have taken note of the situation. They want to avoid past mistakes and won't be swayed by outside pressure or by preseason results.
The coach understands that the way forward is to bet on young players. Significant investments have already been made in players like Arda Güler, Camavinga, or Bellingham. The idea is to continue along that path.
In addition, Real Madrid trust the development of footballers like Tchouaméni, Valverde, or Güler himself. The sporting management believes the generational change is already in-house.
Although major moves aren't expected, the club doesn't rule out a last-minute opportunity. If a bargain arises, Madrid will be alert. However, right now, there isn't any deal in progress.
Melchor Ruiz has sought to reassure the fans. There won't be blockbuster signings. There won't be any madness. The idea is to stick with what's already there. To bet on the youth academy, on young talent... and on the project.
