Negotiations Underway for Star Player's Move to the Premier, Madrid'll Get 30 'Kilos'

Liverpool has set its sights on Takefusa Kubo, and Real Madrid holds 50% of his rights, earning half of his sale

Takefusa Kubo is at the center of a deal that could shake up the market. Liverpool has set its sights on the Japanese player from Real Sociedad. And they're already studying a formula to acquire the player in the next transfer window.

According to El Nacional, the "Reds" are willing to offer money plus a player in exchange for Kubo. The chosen one would be Federico Chiesa, who hasn't quite fit into the English team's scheme.

Real Sociedad, however, is clear that their intention is to receive the release clause for Kubo, set at 60 million euros.

Real Madrid, benefited

If Liverpool pays the clause, Real Madrid would receive half of the amount. This is due to the agreement signed when Kubo was transferred to Real Sociedad, which included 50% of the player's rights.

This means that the white club would pocket 30 million euros without lifting a finger.

The Japanese player has excelled this season with Real Sociedad. His performance in LaLiga and European competitions has caught the attention of several big clubs, including Liverpool.

At just 23 years old, Kubo has made a leap in quality. And has established himself as one of the most disruptive players in the competition.

Chiesa, the bargaining chip

Liverpool seeks to reduce the cost of the signing by offering Chiesa as part of the deal. However, Real Sociedad doesn't seem interested in this exchange. They prefer to receive the full amount of the clause to maintain their financial stability.

Everything points to negotiations intensifying in the coming weeks. Liverpool wants to close the deal before the summer, but Real Sociedad won't easily give in.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid is keeping an eye on the developments. A possible departure of Kubo would leave the whites with a significant income. Demonstrating that their bet on the Japanese player continues to pay off, even off the field.
