Neither Nico Williams nor Joan García: Barça sign Roony while Real Madrid were following him
Fabrizio Romano announced the agreement in principle between Barça and the Swedish footballer
Many may not know Roony Bardghji, but he's about to finalize his transfer to FC Barcelona. The Swedish footballer, already an international with his country at 18 years old, has emerged as a great market opportunity. In fact, Real Madrid was interested in his services, but didn't choose to sign him.
In the past, Barça was already close to signing him, but the transfer didn't end up happening. However, rumors are going even further this summer of 2025, as the club's board reportedly met with the footballer's agent. According to "Mundo Deportivo", FC Barcelona could have the signing well on track.

Roony Bardghji could sign for Barça
Barça has found great willingness from Roony Bardghji, as the footballer born in Kuwait wants to take another step in his career. In addition, from a young age, he has been seen wearing FC Barcelona jerseys and posting messages supporting the Catalan team. It was a sure signing for the club, which also hasn't faced much opposition from other major clubs.
Knowing that Barça is interested in him, it seems unlikely that Roony Bardghji won't make a move soon, considering the possibility of joining the Catalan side.
How would the transfer be completed?
According to club sources, Copenhagen is offering two alternatives to Barça so the signing can be completed without major issues. The first is to wait until December, when the Swede's contract expires, and sign him as a free agent.
The second is to move ahead with an estimated payment between €2 million and €3 million, out of a total amount of about €22 million. The price is quite attractive, considering he's a player with great potential. However, the club has signed footballers with these characteristics before and ended up without them breaking through.

Roony Bardghji is a modern winger. He excels in both defensive and offensive phases, with a powerful physique and a notable left foot that already impressed by scoring in the Champions. However, his competition will be quite tough, so he'll find it very difficult to progress right away in the Catalan squad.
