Martin Odegaard Has Revealed the Former Real Madrid Teammate He Would Love to Have at Arsenal. Just days before the clash between both teams in the Champions League, the Gunners' captain hasn't hesitated to praise a Madrid star.
Odegaard and His Time at Real Madrid
The Norwegian Midfielder Joined Madrid in 2015, at Just 16 Years Old. He spent time in the reserve team under Zinedine Zidane's direction before being loaned out several times.
Without securing a permanent spot in the first team, he joined Arsenal in 2021, where he has excelled and become captain.
Odegaard's Desire: To Play with Vinicius
In an interview with TV2 Sport, Odegaard assessed some of his former teammates and named Vinicius Junior as the best player in the world and someone he would love to reunite with at the Emirates.

The Norwegian was asked which Real Madrid player he would sign for Arsenal. His response was clear: “I just said that Vinicius is the best in the world, so it's natural to sign him”. The Norwegian showed his admiration for the Brazilian winger, key to Madrid's success.
Arsenal will face Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter-finals. “It will be special to play against my former team,” Odegaard confessed. The Gunners arrive with confidence after a great group stage, with seven wins in ten matches.

Arsenal Ready for the Challenge
David Raya, Arsenal's goalkeeper, also analyzed the clash. “We have a great challenge against Madrid. We want to win the Champions League and we know how difficult it is,” he stated on Sky Sports.
The Londoners will look to overcome their elimination against Bayern last season and continue advancing in the tournament.
The showdown between Arsenal and Real Madrid promises to be electrifying. Odegaard will have the opportunity to show his growth against the club where he began his elite soccer adventure.
