Pedrerol Speaks out and Reveals Who is the Best Madrid Player: 'Vinícius or Mbappé?'

The presenter of 'El Chiringuito de Jugones' solves the doubt that exists right now in the white club

Real Madrid's latest success in the Intercontinental Cup final has left us with several comments about the team. It seems clear that Vinícius has regained his role as the team's absolute leader after his injury, but there are doubts about who is the second best one in the group.

Many consider Kylian Mbappé to be the right fit for that spot, but competitive results and comparisons between the two players have led to considerable debate, with Jude Bellingham weighing in. For Josep Pedrerol, the English '5' would be the true leader of the team... even ahead of Vinícius Jr.

This was made clear in his latest appearance on El Chiringuito de Jugones. Presenter and director of MEGA brings up a question for Ancelotti: "Who's better: Mbappé or Vinícius?" Stating that "every day" the Reggiolo boss is asked "the same question". Pedrerol bets on the option not contemplated.

"How easy it'd be to say 'Bellingham'." It seems somewhat sensationalist, but the reality is that his role has been essential to the success of the Whites since he arrived.

Of capital importance

It already happened last season, but it was in the competition's months iin 2024 that this idea became more than evident to all Madrid fans. Because Bellingham's poor positioning, playing the Clásico as a double right-back at times, influenced the poor competitive streak that the club had during that time.

When Ancelotti decided to take matters into his own hands and place the 'pride of Birmingham' in his natural position, the attacking midfield, everything changed. Good results began to become common and the feeling of a more coherent play style has slowly taken hold, bringing them closer to their objectives for this season.

Jude Bellingham is proving to be a born leader despite not having enough time to officially wear the captain's armband. During Vinícius' absence at the beginning of the month, the British midfielder had no problem assuming the leadership of the team... just when everyone was placing Mbappé in that position.

Since his arrival, Bellingham's growth  is just one of the reasons why the coaching staff and the Madrid fans hold him in such high regard. He is starting to become more of a protagonist... and the timing couldn't have been better: there are five titles at stake.
