The price Betis is willing to pay for Ceballos, Real Madrid will give the OK

Ceballos already has the option to leave for Betis, but Betis's stance on financial matters is a problem

Dani Ceballos's signing remains one of the team's biggest mysteries this season. Everything suggests Betis is the main club interested in acquiring the services of the merengue midfielder. However, there's another detail to keep in mind: they'd only pay between 5 and 10 million euros for his transfer.

This is quite a significant blow for the white team, since they expected to get at least a bit more money for him. Nevertheless, it's still an important exit option to free up a spot in the squad.

That said, they'd have to try to negotiate to increase the amount they could get for the player from Utrera. All without entering into an absurd negotiation where probably no one would win by pushing too hard.

They want him, but at a low cost

Betis has been exploring the possibility of bringing this player back to its squad for some time now, just as it did at the beginning of his career. However, it would be for a much lower cost than what the white team would have liked to receive for this player's departure.

For now, the only thing that can be done is to try to negotiate with the Seville club with the intention of increasing this amount. Florentino Pérez, being an absolute master of the transfer market, will surely get something out of it. Nevertheless, it's completely uncertain and everything depends on the Seville club itself.

Everything seems to indicate that the midfielder is also very interested in making this move, since it would mean returning to what was once his home. An environment where he'll surely be welcomed with open arms and where he could end his career in a romantic way.

We'll see what happens

With the clauses already on the table, it's a matter of time before we know a bit about what the final result of the negotiations will be. That said, much of this will have to do with the player's stance and seeing what his final decision will be. Although, from what we've seen, Madrid may not get much for this transfer.
