Ramón de Mon explodes on social media after the mistreatment of Real Madrid by betting houses
The communicator has been surprised by what they've done with Real Madrid
This past Friday, the big surprise was confirmed in the draw for the round of 16 of the Champions. Real Madrid and Manchester City will face each other to secure a ticket to the round of 16. Therefore, one of the big favorites for the title will be knocked out early.
At the beginning of the season, it seemed that the Whites and Citizens were the main contenders for the trophy. However, the first phase left them far from the top 8 and condemned them to play-offs. Especially Guardiola's team, who barely made it in the last match.
However, that matchup seems to have affected Real Madrid, or at least that's how the betting houses see it. Before the draw, Liverpool was the number 1 candidate to win the Champions with the Whites behind. But afterwards they fell to fifth place, so they see fewer chances for the Merengues.
This is something that Ramón de Mon didn't like at all, as he made clear with a message on social media. "This almost always happens with Madrid, winning 6/11 doesn't deserve more credit from the betting houses," he wrote on Twitter. The communicator was referring to the titles won in the last 11 years.
Real Madrid falls in the betting houses, but is favored to eliminate Manchester City
The current Champions champion has fallen in the betting houses to retain the title. Especially after the play-off draw in which they were paired with Manchester City. However, they are seen with more chances of eliminating Pep Guardiola's team.
After their great season, Liverpool has become the big favorite to win the Champions. Behind the Reds are Barcelona and Arsenal, the top 3 in the first phase. And then those who will play play-offs appear with Bayern, Real Madrid, and Manchester City.
Therefore, the Merengues still have more chances than the Citizens to lift the title. Although it should be remembered that last season Ancelotti's team wasn't the favorites either. They ended up winning at Wembley to lift the Fifteenth.
