Ramón Álvarez de Mon, a contributor to Defensa Central's YouTube channel, has spoken out on the matter with some surprising statements. "Vinícius remains firm in his commitment to stay at Real Madrid with the best contract possible," he stated on X.
According to what we know at Defensa Central, Vinícius Júnior demanded a salary of 30 million euros per season to renew. This amount would completely break the salary scale that Real Madrid has so carefully kept. "Something totally legitimate, though not without risk; hopefully it will be solved after the holidays," Ramón de Mon concluded.
Although Vinícius has been a very important player for Real Madrid, his level has left much to be desired. Specifically, his performance during last season raised many doubts. In light of this, Real Madrid's stance regarding his demands hasn't changed.
Contract renewal problems
The 23/24 season for Vinícius Júnior was one of the best in the young Brazilian's career. With 24 goals and 11 assists, Vinícius came very close to winning the Ballon d'Or. Despite the injustice of that controversial ceremony, Vinícius managed to show that he could be the best player in the world.
