Real Madrid and Liverpool Will Go to War for the New Van Dijk, Florentino Wants Him

Real Madrid and Liverpool are targeting a central defender, Florentino wants him but they will make it difficult for him

Real Madrid and Liverpool met a few days ago at Anfield with a result in favor of the Reds. It was the umpteenth time that the two teams had faced each other and the English team finally managed to win. Until now, it had been the meringue who had managed to come out on top.

Both on the field and in the offices, where Real Madrid has already taken several transfers from Liverpool. But now they want revenge and would have the new Van Dijk in their sights. However, Florentino is also following him closely and wants him  to join the white team.

A war is brewing between Real Madrid and Liverpool for Sam Beukema, a central defender currently playing for Bologna. The Dutch soccer player, who many are comparing with Van Dijk, is making a very good impression in Serie A. And it seems that next summer he will make the leap.

The meringue are looking for reinforcements for the center of defense and saw Beukema as a good option. But the Reds have also looked at him, especially becuase Van Dijk has not renewed his contract. They would see him as the ideal replacement and want to fight for his transfer with Florentino.

The past scares Liverpool but they have something to hold on to

As we have said, there have been several transfers that Real Madrid have managed to snatch from Liverpool. Both Tchouaméni and Bellingham seemed to be very close to Anfield. But they finally packed their bags for Bernabéu, in a very painful double move for the Reds.

Now the Whites are looking to repeat the same move with Beukema, although they know it won't be easy. Slot's men achieved an important victory over Real Madrid in the Champions League a few days ago. It put an end to a bad run against the Merengues, who they were unable to defeat.

Two Champions League finals and several knockout stages had meant that years had passed without them celebrating a victory. Some players had never managed it, despite facing each other on repeated occasions. But they put an end to that streak and now they want to repeat it in the market.
