Real Madrid considers canceling Ancelotti's tribute for this reason

There is no doubt that, despite the number of coaches who have managed Real Madrid, Ancelotti is the most important. Lifting the team on multiple occasions, Ancelotti has been largely responsible for several of the titles won.  That's why, for his farewell from the club, a tribute was planned to match his legacy.

However, Real Madrid has changed its mind due to a specific reason. The lack of focus from Ancelotti and his team cost Real Madrid important results. Since Brazil's renewed interest in Ancelotti, the coach has set aside the goals and the entire season he was still playing with Real Madrid.

An attitude that, of course, hasn't sat well with Real Madrid given the titles they were competing for this season. The players' surprise at this only adds more reasons for Real Madrid to reconsider the tribute to Carlo Ancelotti.

Discontent with Ancelotti

Returning to Real Madrid in 2021, Carlo Ancelotti managed to inject new energy into the entire squad. Exploiting the potential of several of his current stars, Ancelotti's work has been exceptional throughout these years. However, this season presented several problems that, unfortunately, overwhelmed Ancelotti and his entire technical team.

Implying that the season's inconsistency was due to injuries and the squad's level, the reality is very different.  The reason for Real Madrid's poor performance during this second half of the season has been solely Ancelotti's fault.

The match against Arsenal in the Champions League is a good example, with Ancelotti doing a questionable job. Focusing on generalizing the match instead of crafting a specific plan for each situation, the lack of focus and interest is evident.

Real Madrid's Displeasure

Despite all the titles won with Real Madrid, nothing justifies the attitude taken by Ancelotti in recent months. Although Brazil's offer was extremely interesting, Ancelotti had to keep professional given his duties at Real Madrid.
