Real Madrid Left Without Replacement for Carvajal, Signs Renewal and It's Official
The Spanish footballer, who was rumored to strengthen the squad, won't play for Real Madrid
Dani Carvajal is the best right-back in the world, without any doubt. But the problem is that he has a long-term injury and is already of an age. This is why Real Madrid had thought of this player to take over his position, but now he has renewed with his current team.
Sevilla FC confirmed this Thursday the renewal of Juanlu Sánchez until 2029. In an official statement, the club announced that the player's contract has been extended by three additional seasons, as his previous agreement was set to expire in 2026. Thus, Real Madrid says goodbye to one of the possibilities to strengthen the right wing.
Juanlu Sánchez's numbers this season have been outstanding. In fact, the Spaniard had a great performance in Valladolid, where he delivered one of his best matches, including a brace. Therefore, Sevilla FC has had no doubts in continuing to trust him for the future.

Juanlu Sánchez: Sevilla FC Reaches an Agreement to Renew Him
"Juanlu Sánchez has signed the extension of his contract as a Sevilla FC player. The youth player, who in 2022 secured his link with the club until 2026, has now signed the extension of the agreement for three more seasons", the club wrote.
Thus, Juanlu Sánchez will be a Sevilla player until the year 2029. At just 21 years old, the Spanish footballer has accumulated 66 official matches in which he has scored 6 goals and provided 7 assists. Additionally, the right-back won the gold medal with Spain in the recent Paris Olympic Games.
Ignores Real Madrid's Interest
Juanlu Sánchez renewed his contract with Sevilla this Thursday until June 30, 2029. The Spanish footballer had been linked in recent months with teams like Real Madrid and Manchester United. The extension, which includes three more seasons than previously agreed, guarantees the continuity of the youth player.

Real Madrid considered signing the young Spanish footballer, but he has preferred to continue growing in the Andalusian city. Meanwhile, the white team hopes to finalize the arrival of Trent Alexander-Arnold as soon as possible. The Englishman, barring any surprises, will be the owner of the right wing at Santiago Bernabéu for the coming seasons.
However, Real Madrid's scouts thought of Juanlu Sánchez to strengthen the wing and the midfield. The footballer can play in both positions, and that versatility is what really attracts the club. However, Sevilla FC will continue to count on the young player's services, at least, for another year.
