Real Madrid already knows its opponent for the first preliminary round of the Copa del Rey. The meringue team will have to travel to the region of Murcia to face Deportiva Minera.
Who is Deportiva Minera?
Club Deportiva Minera is a Spanish soccer club from the villages of El Estrecho de San Ginés, Llano del Beal and El Beal, from the municipality of Cartagena. It was founded in 1949 and is currently playing in the Second Federation.
Moreover, they play their games at the Ángel Celdrán Municipal Stadium. However, due to a lack of capacity, they played the last round against Deportivo Alavés at Cartagena's stadium.
The Murcia team is currently sixth in group number four of the Second Federation. They were capable to eliminate Tudelano in the first round and Deportivo Alavés in the second round in a penalty shootout.
There are still 16 Primera División teams left in the tournament, the remaining four fell to a team like Deportiva Minera. Real Madrid is a big favorite, but no joke.
