Real Madrid Sets the Final Price for Vinícius amid Interest from Arabia
White executives send a very clear message in this soap opera
Real Madrid would have spoken about one of the most striking debates that have arisen in recent months: Vinícius's departure toward Saudi Arabia. The player's performance has slightly declined however that doesn't mean the Meringue bosses want to let him go so easily.
The 'Vinícius case' has had a lot of impact recently, especially now that Real Madrid's '7' can't play on the field as frequently. His direct red card expulsion at Mestalla has left him out of the next two LaLiga games, a sanction he would have already served in the game against Las Palmas. Only the game against Real Valladolid at the new José Zorilla remains.
However Saudi Arabia's interest in acquiring Vinícius Jr.'s services hasn't ended due to this sanction. All the bosses of the Saudi Pro League know what the latest 'The Best' winner is capable of. And that's why they want him in their ranks.
This possible transfer has prompted direct intervention from Madrid. Josep Pedrerol would have information from the white club that he revealed live on El Chiringuito de Jugones: "they ask me to clarify. If the Saudis want Vinícius, don't call Real Madrid, just put up 1,000 'kilos'".
No doubts
The white club's stance on this matter couldn't be harsher. Real Madrid will only let Vinícius go if one of his offers pays his release clause. "If not, nothing", warns Josep Pedrerol, "if Vinícius agrees and they agree to pay the 1,000 million, farewell".
The white club's only goal seems to be this according to the message Pedrerol himself received: "I convey what they've told me from Real Madrid". The MEGA talk show host makes it clear that "they tell me 'don't call us, go and put up 1,000 million'".
It seems clear that the executives led by Florentino Pérez aren't willing to negotiate the departure of the São Gonçalo striker from Santiago Bernabéu locker room under any concept or price. This is the first time a change of heart in the white leadership has been recorded, always in favor of letting the player who wanted to leave the merengue entity go.
Now it's Madrid who would oppose listening to offers for Vinícius Jr., referring those interested in his transfer to a very high release clause valued at 1,000 million. Such an amount is intended to deter a possible transfer from anywhere in the world... even from a Saudi Pro League whose interest makes Vinícius's renewal with Real Madrid crucial.
