Real Madrid Will Go to the CTA Tomorrow After the Recent Harmful Refereeing Decisions

The club has finally seen its request fulfilled, made shortly after the clash at RCDE Stadium.

Real Madrid Remains the Main Protagonist of the Refereeing Controversy for Some Time Now. The match between Espanyol and the white club, held at the RCDE Stadium, prompted the sending of a letter to the CSD and RFEF requesting the regeneration of the refereeing group. The proposal, judging by the reaction of the rest of the Spanish clubs and LaLiga, doesn't seem to have been well received.

That rejection of a total change in the system of Spanish referees, the Madrid proposal, is quite surprising. Because every matchday, no matter which game it is, there are complaints from all teams who feel they are treated unfairly by the CTA referees. Medina Cantalejo was the first to respond to Real Madrid after the letter, in which they requested to listen to the VAR audios of the match at the RCDE Stadium.

The former referee, now president of the CTA, made it clear on "El Cafelito" that "any team" could have access to those audios at the RFEF headquarters. But the official insisted, at the same time, that those requests should come in "a normal situation" that the letter sent by the white leadership wouldn't fully represent. After those words, in which "time" was requested to "study" the proposal, the white club will see this request fulfilled.

The information published by Manu Carreño last Thursday, as well as what was revealed by "Relevo" in recent days, places several white representatives at the Las Rozas Sports City. It will be tomorrow, Monday, February 17, when the envoys from the merengue entity can listen to and take note of the audios of the conversations between Muñiz Ruiz and Iglesias Villanueva.

We'll See What Happens

Although that request will be fulfilled in less than 24 hours, the refereeing controversy related to the squad presided over by Florentino Pérez is practically inexhaustible. Especially after the clash between Osasuna and Real Madrid, which took place at El Sadar. The visit to the Pamplona stronghold ended in a draw filled with controversial decisions such as the straight red card to Bellingham or the possible uncalled penalties against the Navarrese team.

Real Madrid has been persistent in these encounters because they are framed in a particular situation: the very tight "fight" for the LaLiga leadership. Carlo Ancelotti's pupils defend a first position that Simeone's and Hansi Flick's teams want to assume at all costs. After the one-all draw of the two Madrid teams, the blue and garnet squad could end matchday 24 as the leader of the top national competition by beating Rayo Vallecano at Montjuïc.

In any case, the aftermath of the match at the RCDE Stadium continues to be felt in Spanish soccer. The letter sent by Real Madrid almost two weeks ago has focused the debate on their matches in recent hours. The club's official media, as well as their most aligned commentators, are taking the opportunity to highlight the differences in refereeing in Spanish competitions and those applied in the Champions League.

That "claim" is striking considering that the tensions between UEFA and the entity presided over by Florentino Pérez due to the Super League are public and notorious. Real Madrid will have the opportunity to listen to some audios that raise a host of questions for Madridism regarding the roadmap of the white leadership.
