The Least Happy Soccer Player at Real Madrid Could Leave in January after Sevilla
The player barely has little impact on the season and an immediate solution is being sought
Real Madrid faces the Christmas break with multiple issues on the table for discussion. Some are positive, inherited from the game against Sevilla. That game, played at Santiago Bernabéu, has considerably improved the competitive feelings about the first half of the current season.
But it's not all good news for the coaching staff or the board of directors. Because there are several issues to solve in Santiago Bernabéu changing room, most related to players who barely get any minutes. This time, however, it's not about Endrick.
The limited prominence of the verdeamarelo center-forward draws attention and disappoints, in a way, in the Valdebebas offices. Besides keeping an eye on the '16', the club's leadership must decide what to do with Jesús Vallejo: Carlo Ancelotti doesn't count on the Zaragoza central defender for his tactical plans.
The only opportunity in which he had minutes, against Deportivo Alavés at Santiago Bernabéu, almost ended in a draw. Since then, the Spanish '18' has worked with his teammates... but without entering the rotation scheme of the Reggiolo coach.
Irreversible decision
It's clear that Raúl Asencio, adding his newly discovered versatility at right-back, has won the position. That's why the board led by Florentino Pérez would be considering negotiating with the Spanish player the termination of the contract that binds him to the club until the summer of 2025.
The goal would be to free up his spot on the roster, as well as get rid of his salary. However, this agreement wouldn't only be beneficial for Real Madrid, but its effects would give a second chance to Jesús Vallejo himself. The player is on the radar of teams like Rayo Vallecano or Real Zaragoza.
However, none of them seem willing to pay the transfer fee demanded by Real Madrid to acquire the Aragonese center-back. In this situation, the mutual agreement termination would remove Jesús Vallejo from Santiago Bernabéu locker room... and open the doors to other clubs like the ones mentioned above.
The reality is that Jesús Vallejo's time at Real Madrid is quickly coming to an end. The Spanish player doesn't fit in any way into Ancelotti's plans despite the '18' insisting on fulfillling his contract to try to change that opinion. It doesn't seem like he has succeeded.
