Real Madrid's plans before the World Cup: a tribute and 5 signings in one go
Very intense weeks and a lot of work are coming for the white executives
Real Madrid approaches the final stretch of the current league campaign with nothing to decide. FC Barcelona's victory against Espanyol, at the RCDE Stadium, leaves Hansi Flick's pupils as mathematical champions of the tournament. In that sense, the white club is already looking at the next competition they must play: the Club World Cup.
The tournament organized by FIFA this summer will start on June 18 for the white squad. That date appears as a very clear deadline in the Valdebebas offices according to the information handled by Melchor Ruiz. The COPE journalist has revealed the roadmap that the leaders led by Florentino Pérez would have for the next three weeks.

The first name on the agenda, the veteran journalist points out, "would be Carlo Ancelotti, that farewell and tribute" at Santiago Bernabéu. "Let's see if on Saturday the 24th or Sunday the 25th and then already in the auditorium of the Sports City as they bid farewell to all the legends". Real Madrid would be preparing a "private event" as on repeated occasions, but "from there the order would start with the announcements and presentations of the signings" achieved in the summer.
"Initially the idea is to announce first Xabi Alonso, then Alexander-Arnold, third Huijsen", Melchor Ruiz points out on COPE. Additionally, the journalist recalls that the operation "is not completely closed, but it will be carried out" in the coming days or weeks because "those details remain" typical of this transfer.
Carefully crafted plan
Melchor Ruiz warns that Real Madrid has set in motion another signing: "it would also be attempted, in those first ten days" before the Club World Cup, "the left-back". The number one candidate right now on the white team's list of prospects for that position is none other than Álvaro Carreras. The Benfica defender "is very much liked," although "Grimaldo also" seems like an option to expand the assets in that area of the field.
"But just last night, almost at dawn today, they told me 'these two names are important, we are on it but there are also others'" candidates. Melchor Ruiz points out that those three signings thought of in the Valdebebas offices, in addition to Xabi Alonso himself, are "brought forward to be at the Club World Cup".

Melchor Ruiz points out that "there are several names also on the table" to add assets to the midfield. But that incorporation "would be dealt with later" without considering the clearly established deadline by the Club World Cup. "Right now, the ones that sound the most are the German Stiller from Stuttgart, Reijnders the Dutchman from Milan, and Exequiel Palacios from Leverkusen who knows Xabi Alonso perfectly", Melchor Ruiz concludes.
Thus, Real Madrid will experience two really hectic weeks given the multiple changes that must be made to the first team before the Club World Cup. The last pending signing in the Valdebebas offices, however, would be postponed until the end of that competition organized by FIFA... because no one in the club would consider the arrival of a midfielder to Santiago Bernabéu locker room so urgent, at least compared to the defense.
